Okay, Tim Schafer did such an amazing job on this game I actually want to mail him MORE MONEY.
Picture yourself thrown into a world that is basically empowered by the sound of Heavy Metal. That is exactly what happen to our main character Eddie Riggs in this epic game. With celebrity appearances from Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Killmaster and more, this game is a real fun play. I would recommend it to anyone out there who loves the genre of Heavy Metal. And I don't mean Lamb of God death metal. If you enjoy Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, and other guys like them, AND you love video games, then you will ADORE this.
The game play style is that of god of war, where you play as the main character (Eddie Riggs) and view him from a camera as if you were watching him from above. However the game also has an RTS game style do it during the ever entertaining 'Stag Matches' where you can summon squads of (in story line mode) Hard-skulled Headbangers, to the Thunderhogs; bassists who are able to heal people using their powerful bass rifts.
I have yet to try the online multiplayer, but with it you an also play as two other factions. First is the Black Tear, a group of emo style people who, besides looking like the undead are actually pretty kickass. And second is the Tainted Coil, a group of demons bent of eradicating the human race from the world.
On the downside however, if you do not enjoy the Heavy Metal genre of music you may not like this game, as the music is literally EVERYWHERE. And another downside I found was that the graphics were a little bleh. A better polygon count in here would have made things look so much better.
Overall I give it a 8.5 out 10 and the Adam Gadal seal of Approval!
