Responses to the Geek's Friend Issue!

Thanks for all your replies guys. I am glad so many of you care about what I do here on the station.
Here are just a few of the very many replies I received with concerns to my less than enthusiastic friend:

From Ed, from Woodstock Ontario:

I agree with the hosts and not with the friend. At least they are not making blogs and radio shows about Justin Bieber.

My Response:

Dude I totally agree. If ANY of my friends made any sort of praise towards Beiber I would disown them and force them to listen to GOOD music for at least 150 hours straight. No sleep, no break nothing. The Bieber disease is one that needs to be cleansed with the most vigorous methods.

From Iris....from who knows where....

My comment to the radio hosts on Geek of the Week is that they need to realize that most people are the term old fashioned and they act like they're 26, but really they are their parents split image. Your friend is acting like a parent telling you not to do certain things. I have a friend who was like that and I stopped talking to them basically because of a few instances where I couldn't take them anymore.

My Response:

Old fashioned people are annoying. A majority of them anyway. But I agree, most people I have come to known at one point or another act exactly like one of their parents, even though they may say they don't. The sad part, is when you mention this to the person they usually get angry at you and deny it. Unfortunately I know that this friend of mine isn't acting old fashioned, they ARE old fashioned.

From Francis M of Oakwood, California:

Hello, my email to this station is about the friend battle with the geek. I think the geek needs some new friends. Thank you.

My response:

Just between you and me, you have no idea how hard it is to make friends as a geek, when most people aren't geeks. ThoughI shall continue on my quest for new friends =)

More replies and responses to come tonight!
