The God of War saga has been one that is quite interesting to say the least. The gameplay never really changed, and most of the monsters just got high def make overs between games. However each and every time God of War managed to hold my interest until the very end.
For those of you who don't know, in God of War you play as Kratos, a warrior from Ancient Mythological Rome. Over the course of God of War 1 and 2, Kratos has had things happen to him which lead up to the plot line of God of War 3: killing every last god on Mount Olympus.
The story is good in a comical sense, I mean you pull off the head of Helios and end up using it as a flashlight....that's actually quite amusing. Gameplay, as I said before is basically the exact same as it was back in God of War 1. I guess this is because the combat worked in God of War 1, so why change it?
If you fancy ripping the hearts and guts out of mythological creatures, then I would definitely recommend getting God of War 3. However it is a Playstation 3 exclusive game, so you'll need one of those too ;)
